Live 'Check Ins' and Microsoft TEAMS Guidance and Expectations

Live Check Ins and Assemblies

Over the coming weeks we would like to offer live check ins with your children using the HWB platform and Microsoft TEAMS (these will be starting from Monday 18th January – timetable to be confirmed next week).

Please make sure that children and families familiarise themselves with our guidance and expectations for when using Microsoft TEAMS which can be found here - https://www.casllwchwrprimary.com/extra-home-learning/ or https://www.casllwchwrprimary.com/policies/

On the week beginning 11th January we will aim to have class assemblies with all classes during the week (from Reception to Year 6 - we will work hard to develop appropriate sessions for our Nursery children over the next week). The timetable for these will be as follows

Monday 11th January – Year 5 – 10 a.m                 Year 6 – 1p.m

Wednesday 13th January – Year 4 – 10 a.m          Year 3 – 1p.m

Friday 15th January – Year 2 – 10 a.m                     Year 1 – 1p.m                    Reception – 2p.m

It is really important that you fill in the consent form which has been emailed to families to allow the children to take part in these ‘check ins’. We really need this to comply with Local Authority and National safeguarding guidelines.

The purpose of these ‘check ins’ is for the children to touch base with their class teachers and school staff. We would kindly ask that these sessions are for children and if parents would like to speak to class teachers regarding learning, then please do this via the usual means of email or Class Dojo. We are hoping to have check ins every Monday and Wednesday with class teachers and every Friday for class assemblies, starting from Monday 18th January. A timetable for these sessions will be sent out to families next week and attendance is optional, but we would love to see all of our children coming along (virtually). There is a detailed explanation of expectations which children and adults really must stick to keep everyone safe and ensure that the sessions run as smoothly as possible - please click on the link above.
