Criw Cymraeg

Criw Cymraeg

The Criw Cymraeg are our pupil voice group that promotes the use of Welsh around our school and to make sure our school has a Welsh ethos. This year we would like to achieve the Silver Award in our Siarter Iaith.

How do we do it? Sut ydym ni'n wneud?

We meet to discuss how we can improve Welsh.

We introduce 'Patrwm Yr Wythnos'.

We encourage our friends to use Welsh in class and around the school.

We encourage staff to use Welsh.

We take Welsh Assemblies.

We monitor Welsh on our displays.

What have we done so far?

We have already achieved the bronze award.

We have displayed games around the yard.

What is next?  Beth sy nesa?

We are always thinking of ways that we can improve out Welsh in Casllwchwr.  We hope to do this by:

  • Introducing an award system for using Welsh.
  • Help to organise activities such as 'Shw Mae Day' and St David's Day.
  • Encourage writing in Welsh.
  • Encourage the use of Welsh games on the yard.
