Rights Respecting School
Class charters
Personal and social education
Circle time
St. David’s Day activities
Recycling focus like collecting paper


In Years 3 & 4, they plan for this through things such as:

Conscience alley linked to novel
Rights Respecting School  and class charters
Voting groups
Sports captains
History topics such as Terrible Tudors,
Geography topic such as C’mon Cymru
Welsh lessons
Through study of religions such as Hinduism
Learning about plants and animals and comparisons of habitats
St. David’s Day celebrations


In Years 5 & 6, they plan for this through things such as:

Using documentaries (Stacey Dooley Investigates) linked to discussion text type
Watching the news and learning about current events
Using PC Hinds in PSE lessons
Conscience alley activities
Debating about children working today or having a debate about wind farms
Welsh lessons
Comparing religions: Islam and Judaism
Learning through historical topics: Vile Victorians and Swansea Gets Blitzed
Through our Spring topic of ‘Make a Difference’ (sustainability) and ‘Through the Window’ and ‘Belonging’ picture books
