Staff in Year 4: Mrs L Jones

Assistants – Miss Kaminaris

Things to remember.

Monday –   PE – Please can pupils bring kit in a bag so they can change back into their uniform after the session as it is part of the curriculum that they need to be aware of personal hygiene.

Homework given out.

Tuesday  –

Wednesday– Library book exchange

Thursday –  Remember that there is homework club on a Thursday should your child wish to attend.

Friday – PE Kit- outdoor lesson.     Homework due back into school.

Your child should bring their reading book daily as there will often be times for independent reading. Please try to read with your child as often as possible and once they have completed their book it can be changed. Each child has been allocated books online with Bug club, if you need any help accessing the site please let me know.  We encourage pupils and parents to use Bug Club online at home to develop reading and comprehension skills. We can monitor pupils’ progress through the questions asked online then assign books of appropriatelevel to each child.  Pupils will develop their reading skills and be listened to in class through individual, shared and guided reading sessions.

All pupils have HWB log ins that they know.. https://dysgu.hwb.gov.wales/‘ will take you to the log in page.

Our Year 4 class blog will be updated regularly with homework, information and photos of our learning. Children will also be blogging their own learning this year.

Headphones – pupils are welcome to bring into school inexpensive headphones should they wish to do so, as it will allow them to use the iPads with sound during whole class sessions. These MUST be labelled with child’s name and kept in their tray in our classroom.  Please note that they are NOT compulsory.

We would love parents to ‘skill share’ with our class throughout the year.  If you have any talents or skills that could be shared with whole class or groups of children, please let me know.
